À propos de l'événement
We organised World Mental Health Day on October 10th, 2022 with the theme of Making Mental Health and well-being a global priority. Guest speakers - Pritika Lalwani, child psychologist and Ayushee Raval, a Psychology graduate graced the occasion with their thoughts on various mental health issues. Megha Soni and our founder, Devashis Jena conducted the webinar in the most interactive and effective way. About 40 participants from all over the world joined this global event.
Mental health is given global priority nowadays because of the rising number of mental health cases worldwide. Mental health should be given the same importance as physical health and vice versa. Depression, anxiety, stress due to the pandemic, substance abuse and how to keep a stress-free life by indulging in various hobbies were some of the topics discussed.
Speakers also discussed strategies to prioritise mental health. There should be community support and creating awareness about mental health will definitely help in dealing with such issues. People should not give up upon failing, one must keep trying. Parents and teachers have important roles to play in bringing positivity among students. 15 – 29 years is a crucial phase of a person’s life. Statistics show that over 800000 people within this age group are vulnerable to suicide. That is why mental health should be given global priority.
It was a very informative and resourceful webinar. With the commitment to bringing more awareness to mental health issues and breaking the stigma related to them, we will keep getting more interactive sessions like this soon. Thanks a lot, to the guest speakers and all the participants for making it a grand success.
